Project and Operations Director - Andy Poley
Andy Poley is a Project and Operations Director with
over 15 years of telecommunications engineering, marketing
and management experience at Nortel Networks. He recently
began working with the Project Management team at Somera
Communications and is currently implementing a microwave
network for AT&T Wireless in New Jersey. Andy has
delivered large, complex projects up to $150M and 1,200
sites and has received numerous awards for delivering
them on time, with quality and within budget. In order
to meet customer needs and cost expectations, he has
led both direct and matrixed teams of up to 300.
Andy has deployed the latest wireless, microwave and
switching technologies into the operating networks of
customers such as Telstra, Voicestream, Southwestern
Bell, IUSACELL, TELMEX and Unicom in Australia, the United
States, Mexico and China. He offers a broad range of
skills developed through his experience in: supply management;
contract manufacturing; wireless and wireline project
management; leadership of large project and installation
teams; marketing proposals; competitive analysis; customer
service; and engineering. Andy received his Bachelor
of Science in Electrical Engineering from Queen's University
in Kingston, Ontario, Canada and is also conversant in
German and Spanish.
